Ella's 6th Birthday :)

We wanted to go kinda big this year for Ella's birthday - with a little sister on the way and her pending eye surgery, we wanted our little girl to feel special. We decided to ship her off for a weekend with Grammy Gloria and Aunt Michelle so we could clean out and completely redo her bedroom. Here's some pictures from the much needed transformation.

Poor Jason painting coat #1 at 10pm friday night - he proceeded with coat #2 soon after and went to bed early the next morning....poor Daddy!! He did a great job though! (wonder what else I can make him paint?? LOL)

Saturday morning - the light was shining in and finally I got a true picture of what the paint looks like (or as close as I'll get I'm sure!).

After many hours of building the bed (thanks to Uncle Tony for the extra set of hands) and getting all the bedding and stuff moved in and in place - we finally have a new bedroom!!

Then came the other festivities - Jen was awesome enough to come over early sunday morning and work on decorating the cake and cupcakes so I would have more time to get other things ready for Ella's first kid birthday party. Up til now, its only been close friends and family - it was a big day!!!!

We picked up Ella from Aunt Michelle's house and drove straight to Amazone where we waited for the birthday guests to arrive for some play time. Next thing you know we have 10 kids running wild through the play structure at Amazone - they had a blast!!

After playtime was over - we all came back to the house for some pasta, pizza, and desserts :)

Then Ella got to open her gifts - she got so many wonderful presents from her little friends and family - she'll be keeping busy for a while!!

Nicole, Tony's sister, made this beautiful painting to go in Ella's room - she made it to match the theme perfectly! Ella was so excited to have a Nicole Plonski orginal :)

We questioned the weight limit of the bed - but it seemed to hold up pretty well with all the kiddos piled on it. They were having too much fun to spoil it anyways!

Perhaps next year we'll do a bowling party or something all in one place hahaha!
