Wedding Stuff

Here are some photos of the restaurant we rented for the dinner, the church, the lodging, and our cake...mmmm.

The Presbyterian Church of Boyne City. This is one of only two churches in the United States that was built to mimic Noah's Ark. You'll notice in the pics below how the head of the church is rounded with upward slanting beams and trusses. There are small dormer type windows that circle the top. Every window in the old part of the church is stained glass. Its small and beautiful!

Here are a couple pics of the restaurant we are renting out for the reception/dinner. They clean it up really nice for receptions and take stuff off of the walls. The giant Elk head above the fireplace stays, its bolted. Makes it all rustic - hahaha!

This is an example of what the decorating on our cake will be. It will only have small little spaces between each tier and will be garnished with real flowers not icing ones. Then we'll also have a flower topper instead of the little people. We went with a layer of white, chocolate, and red velvet. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

Here is the lodge and the condo's that sit next to the lodge. We will be reserving the 2 bed condos that have 2 queen beds and a pull out couch for the wedding. We get a discount because my cousin is a time-share holder there. So, for 6 people per condo we're looking at $12 per person per night....super awesome deal. They are all brand new (2-5 yrs old) and have kitchens and hot tubs in most! Pretty cool. Plus you're right at the lodge for other fun activities.
